The African cement producer Dangote was looking for a solution to simplify maintenance of the crushing rolls, which are designed as a tubular structure.
To compensate for wear on a crusher, both rotors previously had to be welded on at great expense for up to 3 weeks. To do this, the entire upper part of the crusher had to be dismantled in advance, which was time-consuming and costly. The crusher segment design from thyssenkrupp Polysius now makes it easy to replace the crusher segments. The reconditioning of the worn crushing segments can then be carried out cost-effectively in the plant's own workshop.
An extensive modernization of the EPC-based mobile crushing plant was exactly what the cement manufacturer Lafarge was looking for – and with the new mammut® rotor, thyssenkrupp Polysius had the right solutions at hand.
The mammut® rotor was the main component of the supply. In addition, it included all add-on parts such as bearings, hammers, hammer axles and V-belt pulley. The new rotor takes the well-known and proven system to a new level and optimizes service life at low costs.

After the successful delivery and installation of an titan® double-shaft hammer crusher to Semen Bima, the Indonesian cement producer has decided on another crusher of this series.
The additional crusher ensures the supply of High Grade Limestone to the cement plant in the coming years. As it will be necessary to move the crusher in the future, Semen Bima has opted for a semi-mobile design of the crushing plant. The plant capacity is 1000 t/h with a product grain size of 50 mm. The detail engineering of the semi-mobile crushing plant is a close cooperation between our locations in Beckum, Hanoi and Pune.
Since 1976, we have repeatedly been able to supply Yamama Cement Company with our mobile crushing plants. For the new site, Yamama Cement Co. has opted for the economical concept of fully mobile crushing plants from thyssenkrupp Polysius again to supply the two 10,000 tpd production lines. Each production line will be supplied with a fully mobile crushing plant designed to meet specific customer requirements, each with a throughput capacity of 1800 tph. Equipped with a type PB250/250-CR impact crusher at its heart and an electro/hydraulically driven wheeled undercarriage, each plant can follow the fast-moving quarry operation within a short time. Travel distances and the number of trucks can thus be optimized to the greatest possible extent, thus also reducing CO2 emissions.
At the new Yamama Cement Co. site, not only two of our mobile crushers are used, but also three stationary impact crushers for additives, two jaw crushers for iron ore and one roller crusher for clinker.
